About me
Background
I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a diverse graphic design background. For the past 7 years I’ve had the opportunity to work in creative design agencies in Dublin for clients in the Irish public and private sector.
From 2012 – 2014 I was employed as the first inhouse graphic designer for an international IoT company and tasked to establish a visual identity for a rapidly growing brand. Earlier in my career I grew my love for layout design in the publishing industry and gained valuable experience in client facing roles in the print industry.
In 2010 I completed a Digital Media add-on degree from TUS. Here I learned about motion graphics using After Effects, editing using Final Cut Pro, storyboarding and was shortlisted in Drinkaware film competition.
UX UI Design
In May 2022 I completed a 2 year higher diploma in interaction design with first class honours.
I’m excited about how UX can genuinely improve people’s lives, especially through considering accessibility and equity. A course case study focused on designing a card game for over 65’s to play remotely to help maintain social connection during the pandemic. It helped me consider how we might design for users of different ages and how unique certain groups needs may be.
